Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Crystal City, VA. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, support access control, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a corporate technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with credential checks, directions, and reporting access-related issues.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate personnel according to established protocols.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation while maintaining professional communication with Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$21.75 per hour

Full-time, overnight shifts:

• Tuesday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Wednesday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Thursday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Saturday: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM
