About the role
As an unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location in Omaha, NE, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and provide professional customer service and communication. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities at a government utility location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions, unauthorized access, and security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials as directed, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and report access-control discrepancies to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; contact emergency services and site representatives as required by established procedures.
- Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with site personnel, Allied Universal leadership, and responding agencies regarding incidents, observations, and security-related activities.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
