Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location in Decatur, AL, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and respond to security-related concerns. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will deliver exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a caring, agile, reliable, and integrity-driven Allied Universal team.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-material concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and communicating with appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facilities, production areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access control points, verify credentials and visitor authorization, and maintain accurate logs, reports, and incident documentation.
- Observe and report potential hazards, suspicious activity, equipment issues, or policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Wednesday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- Saturday: 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
- Sunday: 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
