Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Driver

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location in Louisville, KY, you will conduct routine patrols, monitor access points, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. This driving position requires a valid driver’s license. You will support a welcoming environment through clear communication and customer service while embodying Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, team-focused, and integrity-driven values.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-condition reports, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site protocols and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access control points, verify credentials as directed, document visitor and contractor activity, and report access irregularities to site leadership.
- Prepare clear, accurate reports of patrols, incidents, observations, and equipment concerns, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated client contacts.
Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Access control/badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
