Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Compliance

About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer at an educational location in Miami, FL, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and respond professionally to site needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and families by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, student-related concerns, access-control matters, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, classrooms, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious conditions or policy violations, and document incidents in accordance with site procedures.
- Communicate with school personnel, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents, hazards, and other security-related concerns.
Requirements
- At least two years of security-related experience.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- At least 21 years of age.
- Guard card or license is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$16.00 / hour
