Security Officer - Full Time Unarmed Patrol Badge Enrollment
About the role
As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and support badge and visitor procedures. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while helping create a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, members, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a government-affiliated office location.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior spaces, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify unusual activity, access concerns, or property-related issues.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized entry attempts or suspicious circumstances.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response procedures and contacting appropriate personnel or public services when needed.
- Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports, maintain required logs, and communicate relevant observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
