About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Badge Administration in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a government airport location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control activities. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication to travelers, visitors, and staff while using computer or tablet systems as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to travelers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies at an airport authority location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of terminal areas, parking facilities, access points, roadways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Monitor access to restricted or controlled areas and report unauthorized entry attempts, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in accordance with site procedures.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
