Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for visitors and staff. You will communicate clearly, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with integrity and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access to the location by observing entry and exit activity, verifying authorized access as directed by site procedures, and reporting unusual activity.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken according to site procedures.
- Prepare clear and accurate activity reports, incident reports, and daily logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.
- Pepper spray certification is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Baton certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
