About the role
As a Full Time Unarmed Patrol Alarm Response Security Officer in Mountain View, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service. You will communicate professionally with employees and visitors while supporting a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to identify and report unusual conditions.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency personnel as directed by site procedures.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization in accordance with site policies, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Requirements
- At least one year of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Guard card or license is preferred.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
