About the role
As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Alarm Console in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control activities, and respond to alarms and security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and communication while contributing to Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical/petrochemical location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, hazardous-material concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, operational areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual conditions and help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and report access-control concerns in accordance with site-specific procedures.
- Document patrol observations, incidents, and security-related activities accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
Pay
$14.71 / Hour
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM
