About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer Full Time Mobile Patrol Driver in Houston, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as financial institutions. You will monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, respond to alarms, and help deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. This driving position offers the opportunity to provide exceptional customer service and communication while supporting a reliable team that acts with integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, tenants, visitors, and employees at a financial institution-related property by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the property, building exterior, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe visitor, vendor, and contractor activity in accordance with site-specific requirements.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and unusual activity in clear, accurate reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
