Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Driver Route Patrol

About the role

As a Full Time Unarmed Driver Route Patrol Security Officer in Chicago, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education and more. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors at a higher education location. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, academic facilities, parking areas, walkways, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, requests for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and contacting appropriate personnel as needed.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas, reporting maintenance concerns, hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations to site leadership and/or appropriate campus personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports related to incidents, patrols, and security-related observations while maintaining a professional presence in a dynamic educational environment.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
