Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Digital Reporting

About the role

As a Full Time Unarmed Security Officer with Digital Reporting in Markham, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. This position involves conducting routine patrols, maintaining a visible presence to deter security incidents, and providing exceptional customer service. This is a driving position requiring a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel at a technology-focused location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with credential checks and directing guests to appropriate locations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Complete accurate activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoffs while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
