Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Alarm Response

About the role

As a Full Time Unarmed Alarm Response Security Officer in Florence, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service. This role supports a welcoming environment while responding to security-related concerns with professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to site leadership and/or emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and report irregularities or policy violations.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Preferred Qualifications

• Alarm panel experience.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Loss prevention experience.
• A guard card or license.

Pay

$18.74 / Hour

• Monday: 01:15 AM - 09:15 AM
• Wednesday: 09:15 AM - 07:15 PM
• Thursday: 09:15 AM - 07:15 PM
• Sunday: 01:15 AM - 09:15 AM
