Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Alarm Response

About the role
As a Full Time Unarmed Alarm Response Security Officer in Florence, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. You will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will support a welcoming environment while responding to security-related concerns with professionalism.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures, access protocols, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating observations to site leadership and/or emergency responders as directed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of offices, common areas, parking areas, loading zones, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and report irregularities or policy violations.
- Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Requirements
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
