About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer specializing in Alarm Panel Operations in Austin, TX, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within healthcare facilities. Your role includes maintaining a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, responding to alarms and access-control needs, and providing outstanding customer service to patients, visitors, and staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, parking areas, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report unusual conditions to appropriate personnel.
- Document incidents, observations, and patrol activities accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience preferred.
- Alarm panel experience preferred.
- Access control and badge experience preferred.
- At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
Pay
$22.50 per hour.
