About the role

As a Full Time Unarmed Security Officer specializing in Alarm Panel Monitoring in Costa Mesa, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients across a range of industries. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and respond to alarms and routine concerns. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, clear communication with site personnel, and supporting a professional environment through teamwork and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the business location, exterior areas, and perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, and report concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete accurate reports, maintain activity logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, or corrections experience.
• At least 2 years of security-related experience.
• At least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Alarm panel experience (preferred).
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Pay

$24.50 per hour

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a minimum of 30 hours per week. The specific schedule will be determined during the hiring, onboarding, and training process based on business needs and assigned by your manager before your start date.
