Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Alarm Panel Monitor

About the role

As an Unarmed Alarm Panel Monitor in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, respond to alarms and security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service at a dynamic technology location.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, loading zones, common areas, and perimeter locations to identify unusual activity and deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor access points and observe visitor, employee, and vendor activity in accordance with site-specific protocols, documenting relevant security-related observations and incidents.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports and communicate findings to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts as directed.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.

Pay

$17.46 / hour

Schedule

• Tuesday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Wednesday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Thursday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Friday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
