As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Guest Assistance in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a healthcare-related medical examiner location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a professional environment for staff and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s values of agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, caring, and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, contractors, and/or members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols in a healthcare medical examiner setting.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter locations, while reporting unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and help maintain orderly entry and exit procedures for authorized personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
  • Prepare clear, timely activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal supervision and site leadership.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
  • Be able to lift up to 20 pounds, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$18.87 per hour

Schedule

Monday: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Tuesday: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Wednesday: 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Saturday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Sunday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
