As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Incident Documentation in Jamaica, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer in a healthcare-related medical examiner location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a secure environment for staff and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally, and respond to security-related concerns with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel at a medical examiner facility by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points, verify authorization as directed, maintain visitor records, and assist with the orderly flow of personnel and deliveries in accordance with site policies.
• Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Prepare accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant observations to Allied Universal leadership and site representatives.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Be able to lift up to 20 pounds (preferred).
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$18.87 per hour

Full-time, Wednesday through Saturday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
