Security Officer Full Time Security Screening

About the role

As a Full Time Security Screening Officer in Palmetto, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. You will support a secure environment by screening people, packages, and materials in accordance with site procedures, maintaining a visible and professional presence, and reporting security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel entering the logistics and distribution location in accordance with site requirements.
• Inspect packages, parcels, and personal items as directed by site procedures, documenting and reporting unusual findings.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading docks, access points, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Comply with licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$16.82 per hour.
