Security Officer Full Time Screening

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Screening in Kenner, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. You will help maintain a secure environment by screening individuals and materials, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or vehicles entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access points and review credentials or shipping documentation as directed, reporting unauthorized access attempts or irregularities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, loading areas, and perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.

Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$15.24 / Hour

• Tuesday: 03:00 PM - 11:00 PM
• Friday: 09:00 PM - 05:00 AM
• Saturday: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
• Sunday: 01:00 PM - 09:00 PM
