Security Officer Full Time School Flex

About the role

As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Ambassador in Cary, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a public education location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting of security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members while carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at educational facilities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious behavior or policy violations, and maintain clear communication with school personnel and emergency responders as appropriate.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain activity logs for incidents, patrols, observations, and/or security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay Rate: $17.06 / Hour
• Schedule: Day Time, Monday through Friday, 06:30 AM - 02:30 PM
