Security Officer Flex School

About the Role

The Security Professional Branch Flex Officer will serve and safeguard clients across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, education, finance, retail, and more. This role offers hands-on experience, diverse work environments, and the opportunity to build a strong foundation with a leader in the security industry.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
li>Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders

Requirements

• MUST HAVE A MINIMUM OF 1+ YEARS OF SECURITY EXPERIENCE
• MUST HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED OR HIGHER
• MUST BE ABLE TO WALK/STAND FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME
• MUST BE FLUENT IN SPANISH
• HAVE EXPERIENCE IN ACCESS CONTROL/BADGE EXPERIENCE
• COMFORTABLE USING A COMPUTER OR TABLET
• ARMED GUARD CARD/LICENSE
• LIFT UP TO 20 LBS
• WORK INDOORS/OUTDOORS
• X-RAY SCREENING EXPERIENCE
• APPLICANTS MUST BE 25+ YEARS OF AGE

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only

Skills

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic) is a plus
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience is a plus

Pay

Pay Rate: $18.32 / Hour

Schedule

Expect to work 30–40 hours per week, with a varying schedule based on manager-assigned shifts and self-picked shifts through our Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments will change regularly.
