Security Officer Full Time Retail Vehicle Patrol

About the role

As a Full Time Retail Vehicle Patrol Security Officer in Canoga Park, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls and more. You will conduct routine unarmed patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to guests and tenants. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail and mall environment.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout the mall, common areas, parking facilities, exterior perimeter, and tenant spaces as assigned to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points, observe conditions throughout the property, and report suspicious activity, hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy violations according to site procedures.
• Assist with traffic flow, crowd management, special events, and tenant support activities as assigned while maintaining a professional presence.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
