Security Officer Full Time Residential Patrol

About the role

As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government services location in New York, NY, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide courteous customer service to visitors and staff. You will communicate clearly, report security-related concerns, and support a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government services location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, building perimeters, entrances, common areas, and surrounding grounds to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and observe individuals entering or leaving the location; report suspicious activity, damaged property, and policy violations to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident reports, and patrol documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
