As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Alarm Operations in Bronx, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for residents, visitors, and staff. Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers at a shelter location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, resident concerns, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, respectful, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, entrances, exits, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and communicate observed concerns to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
- Prepare clear, accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift handoff information in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Requirements
- Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
