As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Patrol Badge Credentialing in Far Rockaway, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, resident concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the shelter location, including common areas, entry points, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas.
• Maintain access to the location, observe and report suspicious activity, and help to deter unauthorized entry or disruptive behavior.
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortably using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
