Security Officer Full Time Patrol Site Awareness

About the role

As a Full Time Patrol Site Awareness Security Officer in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for customers and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and report observations while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail store, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or potential concerns.
• Monitor customer and employee activity, maintain awareness of store operations, and help to deter theft, trespassing, and other unauthorized activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations according to site procedures.
• Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts, and maintain a professional presence at the location.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
