Security Officer - Full Time Patrol Response Driver

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location in Front Royal, VA, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, support access control, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Deliver outstanding customer service and clear communication while contributing to a caring, reliable team that acts with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and/or drivers by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, production areas, parking areas, loading docks, access points, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy concerns.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, directing visitors and contractors, and documenting entries and departures in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and completing required reports.
• Maintain accurate daily activity logs and incident documentation, and communicate observations and concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control/badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
