About the role
As a Full Time Patrol Response Security Officer in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Retail/Malls. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service to visitors, tenants, and staff. You will communicate professionally, report observations, and support a welcoming environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a retail and shopping district setting.
- Respond to incidents, guest concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail areas, common spaces, parking facilities, loading zones, and the property perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and observe activity throughout the location, reporting suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Complete required reports, activity logs, and incident documentation accurately and in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
