Security Officer Full Time Patrol Readiness

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly, and report security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of healthcare facility buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual conditions or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, directions, and access-control procedures in accordance with site requirements.
• Document incidents, observations, and activities accurately and communicate relevant information to appropriate site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
