About the role
As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Operations in Bessemer, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support a welcoming environment through clear communication and exceptional customer service while reporting observations and responding to site needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Respond to incidents, delivery-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, entry points, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related concerns in required reports and communicate relevant information to site leadership.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
