Security Officer Full Time Patrol Digital Reporting

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an educational location in Cheyney, PA, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming campus environment. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate clearly with students, staff, and visitors, and use computer or tablet systems as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or campus partners while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking locations, walkways, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and access-related records in accordance with site requirements.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and campus event support while maintaining a professional presence at the location.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$17.95 / hour

Schedule

• Thursday: 5:00 PM - 12:00 AM
• Friday: 5:00 PM - 2:00 AM
• Saturday: 5:00 PM - 2:00 AM
• Sunday: 5:00 PM - 12:00 AM
