About the Role
As a Security Officer Patrol Full Time Patrol in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide exceptional customer service, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and support a welcoming environment.

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 08:00 AM – 04:00 PM
What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused corporate location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, entrances, parking areas, common spaces, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or access concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts and emergency responders as appropriate.
- Support a professional workplace environment by providing directions, addressing routine questions, and reporting maintenance, access control, or security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
Minimum Requirements
- A guard card/license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR/First Aid is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
