Security Officer Full Time Patrol Alarm Response

About the role
As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare setting, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will provide exceptional customer service, clear communication, and timely assistance while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture with integrity and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, behavioral health concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as needed, and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations to appropriate personnel.
- Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and other required records in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific requirements.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
