Security Officer Full Time Overnight Driving Patrol

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Driver in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Logistics & Distribution. You will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, monitor activity, and support security-related procedures, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. This driving post requires a valid driver's license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, employees, and/or vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and vehicle entry records, and direct authorized personnel to designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, trailer areas, loading docks, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Document observations, incidents, and security‑related activities accurately and provide clear reports to Allied Universal leadership and site management.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required (federal, state, local laws).
• Qualified applicants with criminal histories considered consistent with applicable laws.
• Drug screen required as permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
