Security Officer - Full Time Nights

About the role
As a Security Officer Full Time Screening Operations in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening people and items, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service while using technology to support screening activities and clear communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Screen individuals, packages, shipments, and access points in accordance with established procedures; report prohibited items, irregularities, and potential security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established notification and escalation protocols.
- Maintain accurate screening logs, visitor records, and incident documentation as required by site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, loading zones, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Loss prevention experience is preferred.
- X-ray screening experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
