Security Officer Full Time Morning

About the role

As a Security Officer Access Governance in Somerset, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare. As an Access Control Officer in a healthcare location, you will help create a welcoming, secure environment by managing access points, verifying credentials, monitoring visitor activity, and communicating professionally with staff, patients, and guests. Your visible presence and attention to detail will help deter incidents while supporting daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, patients, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Monitor and control access to healthcare-related facilities by verifying credentials, managing visitor entry, issuing temporary access materials, and maintaining accurate access-related records.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Communicate professionally with site personnel and emergency responders, documenting observations, incidents, and actions taken in accordance with site requirements.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
