Security Officer Full Time Mobile Patrol

About the role

Join Allied Universal as a full-time Mobile Patrol Security Officer supporting a government education location in Wayne, NJ. You will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication in a dynamic, welcoming, and collaborative workplace.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, school policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, student or visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders as required.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, classrooms, hallways, parking areas, athletic facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with established school procedures, helping maintain an orderly learning environment.
• Document incidents, observations, patrols, and security-related concerns accurately and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and designated site contacts.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$16.92 per hour.
