Security Officer Full Time Patrol

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol in Buffalo, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic education location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support students, staff, and visitors with outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or faculty by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with campus contacts and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout campus buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations, noting unusual activity and helping to deter unauthorized access.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas to help support orderly operations, verify authorized access when required, and report maintenance, lighting, and/or security-related concerns.
• Support access control and visitor management practices, provide directions and assistance to the public, and follow Allied Universal post orders and incident reporting procedures.

Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include a valid driver’s license for driving positions only.
