Security Officer - Full Time - Logistics

About the role

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a logistics and distribution location in Plain City, OH, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and report security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment for employees, visitors, and operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and facility personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, delivery-related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifications according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of distribution facility grounds, loading areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location, verify authorized entry as directed by site procedures, and report irregularities, damaged property, or suspicious activity to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with traffic flow and driver check-in activities as assigned, while maintaining professional communication with employees, contractors, and visitors.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
