Security Officer Full Time Lobby Operations

About the role

As a Front Desk Security Professional in an educational location, you will welcome students, staff, and visitors while supporting a secure, positive environment. You will manage access, monitor entry activity, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, families, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
• Greet visitors at the front desk, verify identification and appointments, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor logs in accordance with site policies.
• Monitor access to the facility, direct visitors to appropriate locations, and help to deter unauthorized entry through professional presence and adherence to entry procedures.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
• Monitor communications and relevant front-desk systems, document security-related incidents and observations, and maintain a professional, welcoming front-desk environment.

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
• A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
