About the role
As a Front Desk Security Professional in an educational location, you will welcome students, staff, and visitors while supporting a secure, positive environment. You will manage access, monitor entry activity, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, staff, families, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and appropriate emergency response activities at an educational location.
- Greet visitors at the front desk, verify identification and appointments, issue visitor credentials, and maintain accurate visitor logs in accordance with site policies.
- Monitor access to the facility, direct visitors to appropriate locations, and help to deter unauthorized entry through professional presence and adherence to entry procedures.
- Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate school personnel and/or emergency responders as needed.
- Monitor communications and relevant front-desk systems, document security-related incidents and observations, and maintain a professional, welcoming front-desk environment.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
- A state, county, or city-issued security license is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
