About the role
As a Security Officer Full Time Identity Verification in Midland, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical/petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify access credentials, monitor visitor activity, and report security-related concerns. Your visible presence and professional communication will help deter incidents while supporting a welcoming experience for employees and guests.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, access control requirements, and emergency response activities as appropriate at a chemical/petrochemical location.
- Monitor and control access points by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor entry, and directing authorized personnel in accordance with site policies.
- Respond to access-related incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized entry and identify security-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate logs, incident reports, and access-control records, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
