Security Officer Full Time Hospital Visitor Desk

About the role

As a Front Desk Security Officer at a leading healthcare location in Middletown, NJ, you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor entry activity, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. You will help create a secure, supportive environment for patients, families, and staff while responding to security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service at a healthcare facility front desk by following site-specific security-related procedures, visitor management protocols, and applicable emergency response activities.
• Greet patients, families, visitors, and staff professionally; provide directions and information while maintaining a welcoming, compassionate presence.
• Verify visitor access in accordance with facility policies, issue visitor credentials as required, and maintain accurate entry records.
• Monitor the front desk area, access points, and available security-related systems; report unusual activity, access concerns, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; contact designated facility personnel and/or emergency responders when appropriate.

Requirements

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Meet hospital vaccination requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

• Friday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Saturday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
