About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a healthcare location. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, assist visitors and staff with professionalism, and communicate security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, disturbances, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner while following established healthcare facility protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of hospital buildings, patient care areas, parking areas, entrances, and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, access-control procedures, and directions throughout the healthcare location.
  • Document incidents, observations, and completed patrols accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Requirements

  • Must meet hospital vaccination requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications
