Security Officer Full Time Fire Guard Patrol Awareness

About the role

As a Full Time Unarmed Security Officer in a government services location in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to deter incidents, and supporting a welcoming environment for staff and visitors. You will provide exceptional customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting of security-related concerns.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, visitors, staff, and service providers by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related protocols at a government services location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, perimeter locations, and parking areas as applicable.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify authorization as required, and report unauthorized access, suspicious activity, or property concerns to site leadership and/or appropriate authorities.
• Prepare clear and accurate activity, incident, and shift reports, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervisors and site personnel.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Pay

$18.87 per hour.
