About the role
As an Unarmed Security Officer at a dynamic technology location in Whitsett, NC, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. You will use computer or tablet tools to support daily operations, communicate clearly with visitors and team members, and contribute to a caring, reliable culture built on teamwork, innovation, and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, common spaces, parking areas, building entrances, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required by site procedures, and document incidents, observations, and daily activities in clear reports.
- Support a professional workplace environment by communicating courteously with diverse technology personnel and following Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred.
