As a Security Officer Full Time New York State Licensed Patrol in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer supporting a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist with access control. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, and caring culture through teamwork and integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government office location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, entrances, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
• Monitor access points, observe visitor and employee activity, and report unusual conditions, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and contacting emergency services when needed.
• Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour
