Security Officer Financial Institution Full Time

About the Role

As a Security Officer Full Time Patrol Unit in Glen Allen, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a financial institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment through routine patrols and a people-first approach, backed by a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and grounded in integrity.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the banking location, lobby areas, offices, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to confirm that entry procedures are followed and reporting suspicious behavior, unattended items, and/or policy violations.
• Support closing and opening routines, observe sensitive areas such as ATM and teller spaces, and report maintenance, lighting, and/or facility issues that could impact daily operations.

Requirements

• Have 2 or more years of security-related experience.
• Be 21 or more years of age.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay and Schedule

• Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour
• Schedule: Day Time, Thursday through Sunday, 12:00 AM - 08:00 AM
